A hands-on take on DBT chain analysis, built for one specific moment, not a whole week.
Chain Reaction slows a hard moment right down into a run of tiles, so a young person can see the pieces that led into each other, then find the spot where a different piece might have changed how it all unfolded. Laminate it, grab a whiteboard marker, and build the moment out together, one tile at a time. Then comes the part that makes it stick: the re-run. Swap a single piece, follow where the run goes now, and try it a few times. "Not yet" is always allowed to be the answer.
Inside the kit:
A reusable run board (the five-tile page), a six-step practitioner guide, a simpler client-facing version, cut-out cards for felt, thought, body and did, swap cards and tokens for the re-run, a feelings and body word bank for naming what's hard to name, and a worked example to show first.
Made to be used, not just read. A practitioner tool, not a worksheet.
Already have "When Reactions Feel Bigger Than You Expected"? Here's how this is different.
That guide is a written workbook, something a young person works through on paper and keeps, moving carefully through vulnerability factors, thoughts, urges and consequences. Chain Reaction is the hands-on version of the same DBT skill. Instead of writing it out once, you build the moment with tiles and cards, then physically swap a piece and watch the run change. It is quick, reusable, and made for the young people who do their best thinking with their hands, moving pieces around rather than filling in pages. Use the workbook to go deep and send home. Use Chain Reaction to work live in the room, again and again.
Digital download only.
